POSSIBLE AND IMPOSSIBLE OF CRICKET

POSSIBLE AND IMPOSSIBLE OF CRICKET:

History of Cricket:

Cricket was first recorded in the 16th century England, played in grammar schools and farming communities and everywhere in between. But things really began when the nobles of the eighteenth century realized that it was not just a great sport, but also an excellent opportunity for gambling.

With high sky bets that were betting, deemed necessary to reach agreed rules. The oldest surviving group of cricket laws dates back to 1744 – printed on a handkerchief, of course. He is now in the Musk Museum of the Lord in London.

The oldest permanent game is the game of the annual Harrow v Eton, which has been played since 1805. The young Lord Byron turned to Harrow in the first game, although the story does not record poeticism – or “crazy, bad and dangerous” – was his bowling.

The first international match was in 1877 when Australia defeated England in Melbourne. The game was called “test”, where the tedious nature of playing for five days was the last “test” anywhere.

But it was the first victory in Australia on English soil – in 1882 in the Oval in London – leading to parties between the two nations that acted as ash. After the defeat, newspapers published a mournful tribute to the “death of the English cricket,” adding that “the body will burn and ash to Australia.”
